Mole/Lesion screening

Mole Screening

What is MapMyMole Screening?

MapMyMole is a private service offered by UK consultant dermatologists to assess moles and skin lesions, the process involves taking images of the lesion/mole using a specialised dermatoscope.

Many people find private dermatology fees, ranging from £175 to £300, unaffordable. Seeing a GP can take time and often leads to a specialist referral, prolonging the process. For some patients, this wait can be weeks, causing unnecessary anxiety. By using our MapMyMole screening service, you can expect a much more affordable screening service as well as faster results, with results sent to you within 24–72 hours.

How does lesion/mole screening work?

1) Firstly, you would book an appointment to come and see us.

2) We will ask you to fill out a form and answer some questions about your mole/lesion.

3) We will then take photographs using a special device called a “dermatoscope”.

4) We will then send off the images to a UK consultant dermatologists at MapMyMole.

5) The consultant dermatologist will review the images then send a report directly to your email with their findings within 24-72 hours.

Please note, we cannot diagnose if the lesion/mole is cancerous. A biopsy will need to be performed.
