The first step in achieving clear, healthy, radiant skin involves thorough and deep cleansing of the skin using a specialist illumiFacial® formulation to remove any oils and impurities.
Following a deep cleanse, a unique Tri-Fruit Acid Lynton Fruit Peel will be applied to your skin for between 3 and 10 minutes. The peel resurfaces the skin texture and decongests pores, priming the skin ready for stage 3 of the illumiFacial®.
After the peel, your skin will be in its optimum condition for the application of the medical grade Lynton IPL light based treatment.
This works by heating the skin to both stimulate collagen production and target specific concerns such as discolouration (pigmentation, sun damage, age spots, freckles), vascular breakouts (thread and spider veins) and general redness.
In most cases the results are instant, providing you with dramatically clearer, firmer and rejuvenated skin.
Lynton’s Activated Stem Cell Serum hydrates and provides instant transmission of a unique and patented combination of 3 plant stem cells with activated oxygen delivery system. All designed to fuel skin cell and collagen regeneration. Utilising the stem cell serum after your illumiFacial® treatment will leave your skin with long lasting radiance.
To help maximise the results of your illumiFacial® treatment, a duo of specialist serums will be applied to your skin after the IPL treatment. This will help to soothe, regenerate and protect your skin.
The treatment is perfect for anyone whose skin exhibits congestion, discolouration and visible signs of ageing. However, as with all of our other treatments, a full consultation is carried out initially to ascertain suitability and individual treatment needs.
A full treatment plan will then be tailored to treat your specific concerns, all aiming to improve the appearance, feel, health and well-being of your skin.
You may experience a superficial tingling feeling on the skin post-treatment but this will subside fairly quickly. Any areas of pigmentation will darken after the treatment, they will then flake off the skin during the next few days – this means the treatment has worked perfectly in providing you with a more even, flawless skin tone.
As well as clearer and healthier skin, you will also experience an ongoing improvement to the firmness and plumpness of your skin in the following months post-treatment, as new collagen is stimulated deep within the dermis layer.
illumiFacial® is a very quick and comfortable treatment which is designed to provide you with ‘optimum skin health’. Some people will feel a slight tingling sensation when the fruit peel is first applied, but this subsides very quickly.
The IPL aspect of the treatment can sometimes be mildly uncomfortable – most people describe the discomfort as feeling like a “pinprick” or “warm elastic band flick”, which is very tolerable and does not require any anaesthesia.
The illumiFacial® is a completely non-invasive treatment which uses safe, medical-grade equipment to minimise side effects. Your skin may be red and slightly swollen immediately after treatment but this will subside very quickly. You may also have some patches of dry skin and in very rare cases, a small blister can form with some temporary lightening or darkening of the skin.
However, most people experience absolutely no side effects and any reactions usually disappear within a few hours, leaving the skin feeling and looking radiant and full of health.
