Skin resurfacing

A quick, easy and completely safe way to have younger, tighter and fresher looking skin!

Every day, things such as sun, air pollution, stress, fatigue and smoking can take a great toll on the texture, colour and tightness of your skin. In the past, technicians have used harsh chemical peels and dermabrasion to physically scrape, peel and cut the surface of the skin. These harsh treatments have been replaced with the clinically-tested and advanced Ecolite IPL technology. With a gentle and completely safe flash of light, you can reverse the damage that years of exposure have caused on areas such as your face, chest, neck and hands in seconds.

How does Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) work?

IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light. The IPL system regenerates the skin by heating the collagen within the skin to regenerate cells and tissue to improve complexion, skin texture and tension. The series of treatments stimulate the increase of collagen production over a period of time to increase the elasticity of the skin. This gives smoother skin by reducing fine lines and resurfacing the top layer of skin.

The IPL system penetrates deep into the skin to trigger the body's natural healing process, replacing damaged tissue with younger and healthier skin, while keeping the surrounding tissue intact. Using a unique natural resurfacing compound consisting of carbon and natural minerals, which is found in the Red Sea, this gentle process will greatly improve the texture of the skin without the risks, discomfort and prolonged recovery time of other procedures.

Using the advanced IPL system, the IPL specialist gently delivers precise amounts of light energy through the skin's surface. The light energy stimulates the production of collagen which replaces the dead skin cells, softening the appearance of aging skin by reducing fine lines and wrinkles. The redness associated with rosacea can be dramatically reduced. IPL resurfacing additionally enhances blood circulation and leads to improved cellular oxygenation further enhancing the appearance of the skin. The energy is delivered at specific settings for each treatment to maximise results.

How much time do I need for the treatments and recovery?

As IPL is accumulative and has no down-time or after effects, you can schedule treatments to freshen your skin right before an important event. The most sensitive areas of the body can be treated, with the facial area taking as little as 30 minutes. Treatments are usually spaced three weeks apart. The success of the treatment will vary based on your skin's chemistry, but anyone who tries this innovative treatment is bound to see better looking skin even after the very first treatment.

What should I expect after I receive the treatment?

Post-operative discomfort is almost non-existent. After treatment with most light systems, the treated skin may appear a little flushed and capillaries may seem to be more visible. However, the flushed look soon fades away, and the capillaries appear to vanish, leaving the skin looking years younger!
